I just wore holes in my flip flops and I'm wondering two things.

How do you dispose of your old shoes? If they are still wearable I give them to goodwill, but what about the ones that are too worn out? You can't really recycle them.

Also, I'm looking for new, green and vegan flip flops. I can't spend more then $30 max on them. I'm really interested in flip flops you've had, and lasted forever. I have a really small foot so, kids sizes are a plus.

Maybe you CAN recycle them, depending on the materials.

Then the question is, can you get them to a facility able to recycle them?

I've seen flip-flops/thongs made from section of old tyres! I'm sure Googling will bring them up, or something like them.

There are companies that recycle shoes into running tracks and playground surfacing. I can't think of any off the top of my head, though.
